From the earliest design stages, the Chambéry project presented two significant challenges: building a residence on a pointed plot with unique constraints and integrating an exceptionally large garage of over 1,400 square feet, all while maintaining the overall architectural balance. A thorough consideration of volumes, proportions, and placement transformed these constraints into design opportunities, resulting in a residence that is distinctive, functional, and perfectly integrated into its surroundings.
Large windows play a central role in this project, bathing the spaces in natural light and highlighting the volumes of the residence. Open to the surrounding landscape, the house maintains a fluid relationship with the outdoors, at times blurring the boundary between interior and nature. Designed with harmony in mind, it also prioritizes the preservation of existing vegetation to integrate seamlessly into the distinctive landscape of the Chambéry area.
